Farm businesses are fundamental to New York
State’s economy and the agricultural food and
product diversity that the state is renowned for. Yet
many of these businesses are struggling to survive
into the next generation. This Continuing Legal
Education (CLE) program is designed to provide
attendees with an in-depth understanding of the
diverse legal solutions available to farm businesses
planning for sustainable futures.
The program will offer sessions on:

*Conservation easements and other farmland
*Choice of Entity/Business Structure Selection
*Trust and Estate instruments helpful to the
While this CLE (4.5 Professional Practice credits) is designed for attorneys looking to gain
the interdisciplinary competency required for farm
business counseling, the program is open to the
general public as well. Farm business owners and
their families, community stakeholders, and invested
citizens are welcome to join and learn from our
experienced attorney educators.
Fee for attorneys seeking CLE: $100
