Albany Law School will delay opening until 11am due to the weather.
Janet Silver '03, was sworn in as president of the Albany County Bar Association during the organization's Annual Meeting on Jan. 13, 2015, by Judge Bernard Malone in the Albany County Courthouse.
Silver is the youngest woman to lead the Albany County Bar Association in its 115-year history.
Silver is a principal with Hinman Straub, where she focuses on education, economic development, health, human services and research. She provides legal, regulatory and legislative services to a variety of higher education institutions, private and public elementary and secondary schools, and not-for-profits.
Silver has been an active member of the Albany Bar Association for 12 years. Currently, she serves on the Albany County Bar Association's Court of Appeals Screening Committee and oversees the Association’s Pro Bono Programs.
Previously, she has held positions such as chairwoman of the Public Policy Committee, as well as co-chair of the Young Leaders Committee and the Continuing Legal Education Committee. She is also a delegate to the New York State Bar Association.
