Skelly Charitable Foundation, which received the "Foundation of the Year Award" in both Broward (2002) and Palm Beach (2006) counties from Association of Fundraising Professionals, and also serves as a trustee of several other private foundations.

Active for more than 55 years with the American Red Cross, Joh served on the organization's National Board of Governors for more than six years. In 2001, he received the organization's highest award: the Harriman Award for Exceptional Leadership.

Before attending Albany Law School, Joh earned a bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College.
