Albany Law School will delay opening until 11am due to the weather.
Daniel Nolan '78, chair of the Albany Law School Board of Trustees, was honored as a Community Laureate by The University at Albany Foundation at its 2014 Citizen Laureate Awards ceremony. The Community Laureate Award honors individuals for outstanding contributions to the Capital Region and beyond.
The event, now in its 35th year, was held on Nov. 16, 2014, at the University at Albany's SEFCU Arena. Nolan was joined by fellow honorees Father Kevin Mullen and Phoebe Powell Bender.
The three award winners were praised in an editorial by the Albany Times Union.
Nolan is president and CEO of Hugh Johnson Advisors. He is also a trustee at The College of St. Rose and a board member of the Albany Medical Center College Affairs Committee. He serves an advisory board member for the Financial Market Regulation Institute, a joint initiative between Albany Law School and the University at Albany.
Nolan graduated from the University at Albany in 1974.
The Citizen Laureate Awards are sponsored by The University at Albany Foundation and have been presented to individuals for more than 30 years to recognize their extraordinary accomplishments.
