Ian Group, Class of 2011
Ian Group is a cum laude graduate of the Class of 2011. While at Albany Law School, Ian served as the
President of the Class of 2011 from 2008 - 2010, and was a class representative
from 2010 - 2011 on the Student Bar Association Senate. Ian was the Managing Editor for Symposia for
the Government Law Review, served as a student trustee on the Class of 2011
Legacy Fund and was a contracts teaching assistant for Professor Pratt. Ian additionally interned for the New York
State Office of the State Comptroller during his second and third years.
Michelle Tanney, Class of 2012
While at Albany Law, Michelle was an active student leader on campus.
Her many activities included Moot Court (Executive Board), the yearbook
(Editor), Legacy Fund Trustee, student ambassador and the Softball
Club. She also served as a teaching assistant for Contracts, as well as Applied Legal
Prior to Albany Law, Michelle obtained a B.A. in Political Science and
Masters in Political Management from The George Washington University. She
currently practices Securities Litigation at the law firm of Sadis &
Goldberg, LLP, in New York City.
