Albany Law School

All alumni are invited and encouraged to participate in committee activities. 

Admissions Committee: Co-Chairs, Lisa Bonacci ’03, Megan Rurak ’94
Assist the law school and its recruitment efforts of prospective students. This committee will focus on increasing the number of prospective students who apply to Albany Law, be available to speak with prospective and accepted students as well as increase the presence of Albany Law alumni at recruitment events, including Open House.

Fundraising Committee: Co-Chairs, Patrick Jordan ’02, Mark Chieco ’02
Support and promote Albany Law’s Annual Fund efforts with the goal toward 100% participation by its Board members.  Committee members will contact additional alumni, including classmates and friends, to increase alumni participation.

Alumni Engagement Committee: Co-Chairs, John Queenan ’96, Billy Conway ’02
Create and maintain goodwill and communications with the larger alumni population.  Committee members will send event information and highlights to full Board to ensure communication is streamlined and timely.

Professional and Career Development Committee: Co-Chairs, Amy Kellogg ’02, Tom Higgs ’02 Subcommittees: Mock Interviews, Rob Rausch ’94, Programming, Lynelle Bosworth ’06, Networking, Megan Brown ’93
Assist with activities that focus on enriching students’ experiences while in law school.  The types of activities include Mock Interviews, Moot Court, Alumni Alumni/Career Center workshops, class specific programming, just to name a few.

Melinda Seiden ’10
Assist graduates of the last decade to continue to stay involved with Albany Law by providing special networking opportunities, career assistance, CLEs, etc.  Committee members will also assist with coordinating messaging to regional groups including Capital Region, DC, NYC, and Rochester.

Diversity Committee: Co-Chairs, Thania Fernandez ’84, Glinnesa Gialliard '07
Assists in expanding the Law School’s welcoming, supportive and inclusive campus community of prospective students, current students and alumni by assisting in diversity education and outreach.
