Matching Gifts by Employers

Matching Gifts by Employers

More than 1,000 firms and corporate foundations in the United States currently match their employees' gifts to certified charitable institutions like Albany Law School. Donors who obtain such matching gifts achieve a double benefit. They have the satisfaction of knowing their gifts to the Law School have been leveraged to double or even triple the amount initially contributed, and they are recognized by the Law School for their effort in helping to arrange for the matching gift.

Please consult with your employer's personnel or human resources office to determine if your employer will match your charitable contribution to the Law School. Usually, to initiate a matching gift, a donor simply completes the company's matching gift form, and sends it along with his/her donation to the Law School. Albany Law School completes the form certifying that it has received the employee's gift and that the School is eligible to receive matching gifts under the company's guidelines. After Albany Law School forwards the completed form to the company, the company sends a check to the Law School.
