LL.M. for International Graduates - Financial Aid FAQ

What is the tuition for LL.M. International students?
Tuition for the LL.M. program is the same as full-time J.D. tuition. LL.M. students must study in the full-time program.   

How do most students in the LL.M. program pay for their studies?
In order to get an F-1 visa, you must show proof that you have the ability to pay. Some students already have funding and others are able to obtain loans in their home country.   

Can I get loans to help pay my LL.M. tuition?
Some lenders offer private loans to non-U.S. citizens, but they do require a co-signer that is a U.S. citizen or permanent resident alien.   

How does my citizenship/visa status affect my financial aid?
Federal financial aid is only available to students who are U.S. citizens or Permanent Resident Aliens.

Will I be considered for a scholarship?
Albany Law School scholarships are not available at this time for LL.M. students.

Are there outside scholarships for LL.M. students?
