    ​A required first-year course for selected "at risk" students, Applied Legal Reasoning concentrates on enhancing students' basic lawyering skills through intensive and concentrated study of the requisite skills necessary for success. It involves completing written and oral exercises, for example, in case reading, briefing, analyzing, synthesizing and note taking, outlining, communicating and exam taking skills. The course also addresses study habits, time management, and stress reduction.
