The Institute for Financial Market Regulation (IFMR), a collaboration between Albany Law School and the University at Albany, co-sponsored a panel discussion on the future of financial market regulation with speakers from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and FINRA.
The panel, at the World Financial Center in New York City, took place on Monday, March 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Panelists included:
This was the first in a series of events bringing together regulators, industry leaders and academics to discuss the future of financial market regulation. It was co-sponsored by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York; Center for Institutional Investment Management, University at Albany; and IFMR, Albany Law School and University at Albany.
The IFMR educates students and researches critical issues in financial market regulation. Professor Christine Chung serves as co-director of the institute on behalf of the law school.
