Health Law Clinic Assists Members of the Community with Living Wills and Proxies

Albany Law School's Health Law Clinic will offer free legal services related to advance directives on Monday, April 21, 2014, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in conjunction with National Healthcare Decisions Day.

The program, held at Albany Law School, will start in the gym with a panel about advance directives, health care proxies and living wills. After the panel, a group of law students will work under the supervision of local attorneys to assist attendees interested in executing these documents.

Panelists will include:

   Patricia Sprietzer, Community Nurse Liaison, Community Hospice
   Dr. Paul Heasley, Chief Medical Officer, Community Hospice
   Jane Jankowski, Professor and Clinical Ethicist, Albany Medical College

Attorneys providing pro-bono assistance will include:

   Matt Tulio '13
   Maura Kernan '13
   Diane DeGroot

This event is free and open to the public. Advance registration is not required; attendees will be able to sign up for consultations at the beginning of the event.
