First Anderson Legislative Seminar of 2014 to Tackle Municipal Finance

The Government Law Center (GLC) of Albany Law School will launch its 2014 Warren M. Anderson Legislative Seminar Series on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, with a discussion of Municipal Finance featuring New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli.

Each program in the series features experts who will address legal and policy aspects of major issues pending before the New York State Legislature. The 2014 schedule is:

Feb. 11 – Municipal Finance with New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli
April 8 – Infrastructure Funding
April 29 – Campaign Finance with Richard Brodsky and John Faso
May 20 – Education Reform and the Common Core

The seminars will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. in the Assembly Parlor on the third floor of the New York State Capitol. There is no charge to attend the programs, but seating is limited. The annual breakfast series, now in its 22nd year, is named in honor of former Senate Majority Leader Warren M. Anderson '40, an alumnus of Albany Law School and a former member of the GLC Advisory Board who served in the New York State Senate for 35 years.
