Conference to Focus on Latest N.Y. Tax Issues and Impact on Business

The Business Council of New York State, in conjunction with Albany Law School and the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance, will hold its "2014 Annual Conference on State Taxation" at the law school on June 11 and 12.

The conference, which offers continuing education for both accountants and attorneys, will focus specifically on the latest tax issues and disseminates how these will impact businesses in New York state.

Albany Law School President and Dean Penelope (Penny) Andrews will welcome guests at the reception at 5 p.m. on Thursday, the first evening of the conference. Professor Deborah Kearns, the director of the law school's Tax & Transactions Clinic, will participate in a session on “Tax Compliance Ethics.”
