Albany Law School hosted untenured faculty from 29 law schools at "Sharing Scholarship, Building Teachers: The 2011 Northeast Regional Scholarship and Teaching Development Workshop" on Feb. 4 and 5.
The workshop, co-sponsored by Temple University Beasley School of Law, provided law faculty who do not have tenure with an opportunity to develop their scholarship and discuss their teaching with other similarly situated law faculty. Attending faculty presented works in progress, got feedback from peers ahead of the next law review submission season and shared thoughts on teaching practices and related issues.
Among the institutions represented by participating law faculty:
"We have an excellent group of colleagues from the Northeast and beyond joining us," said Professor James Gathii, Albany Law School's Associate Dean for Research and Scholarship. "We look forward to hosting a productive exchange about the very exciting scholarship and teaching innovations that will be shared and discussed at the conference."
