Scholars from around the country gathered on Friday, Nov. 13, for a day-long conference called "Taking Oz Seriously." The conference's 14 participants, all specialists in legal theory, comprised three roundtable discussions centered on the categories of "Magic," "Capital" and "Difference." Hosted by Professor Anthony Paul Farley, the James Campbell Matthews Distinguished Professor of Jurisprudence, presentation titles included: "Home is Where the Law is: a Humbug Reading of Wizard of Oz"; "History and Class Consciousness in Oz"; and "Feasts of Oz: Class, Food, and the Rise of Global Capitalism."Participants:
