Graham Bernstein of Dobbs Ferry, N.Y., a third-year student at Albany Law School, has been selected as the recipient of the New York State Bar Association's 2006 Legal Ethics Award.
The award is intended to encourage scholarship and service relating to a lawyer's role as a representative of clients, officer of the legal system and public citizen having special responsibility for the quality of justice.
The Legal Ethics Award is made by the Law School to a student, in recognition of an extraordinary accomplishment in one of the following areas:
A copy of Bernstein's paper, entitled "Metadata and its Threat to Attorney Ethical Obligations," will be published by the New York State Bar Association in a compilation of the 2006 Law Student Legal Ethics Award Winners. All winning papers will also be reviewed for possible selection in the New York State Bar Journal.
