Albany Law School will delay opening until 11am due to the weather.
Geoffrey Seber has been named Director of Alumni Engagement and Institutional Events for Albany Law School, bringing with him 18 years of experience in higher education in the field of advancement, with a primary focus on alumni relations programs.
At Albany Law School, Seber will manage alumni engagement efforts that comprise programs and institutional events, including the annual reunion. He will also help drive the activities and initiatives of the National Alumni Association.
“Albany Law School’s alumni are known for their commitment to the law school community,” said Jeff Schanz, Vice President for Institutional Advancement. “We know that Geoff will bring great energy, innovative ideas, and new strategy to heighten their engagement as the school moves into yet another era.”
The number of Albany Law alumni total more than 10,500 graduates across the country and around the world.
Seber most recently served as Manager of Alumni Programs in the Office of Alumni Relations at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y., where he worked for the past 18 years. In this role he led a team that focused on campus programming and engagement, which included student-alumni initiatives, reunion and homecoming events, career and professional services for alumni, social media, and campus-based affinity programs primarily with Greek life, student organizations, and athletics.
Seber was named the “Pillar of Rensselaer” in 2013, the highest and most prestigious award presented by Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute to a member of the staff. He is also a
member of the Capital District Football Officials Association, officiating football at all levels in the Capital District.
