Shaping Memory: The Origins of Yom HaShoah

Dr. Arthur Brenner, lecturer of Judaic studies and interim director of the University at Albany Center for Jewish Studies, will discuss the Israeli origins and development of Holocaust and Heroism Remembrance Day, as well as the evolution of Holocaust commemoration in Israel.

The event, sponsored by the Cardozo Legal Society, will be held in the Matthew Bender Room (425) on Thursday, April 18, 2013, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. It is free and open to the public.
