Albany Law School recently announced the newest member of its Board of Trustees: Timothy D. O'Hara '96, President & CEO of The Ayco Company, L.P., a Goldman Sachs Company.
O'Hara has 17 years of experience in the financial services industry and joined Ayco in 1996 as a Staff Attorney. He was promoted to Associate Account Manager in 1998, to Account Manager in 1999, and ran the Encompass group from 2002 to 2008 as Senior Vice President – Encompass. O’Hara was promoted to Executive Vice President of Ayco in 2008, Chief Operating Officer in 2011, President in 2012 and named President & CEO in 2013.
Prior to joining Ayco, O'Hara worked at KPMG Peat Marwick in its audit and tax divisions as a Certified Public Accountant. A Loudonville resident, he earned a B.S. in Accounting from Le Moyne College in 1991 and a Juris Doctor from Albany Law School in 1996. He is a CPA in New York state and holds Series 7, 24 and 63 securities licenses, as well as insurance licenses.
