First Anderson Legislative Seminar of 2013 to Tackle "Gun Control in New York"

The Government Law Center (GLC) of Albany Law School will launch its 2013 Warren M. Anderson Legislative Seminar Series on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, with a panel on “Gun Control in New York.”

Each program in the series features experts who will address legal and policy aspects of major issues pending before the New York State Legislature. 

The 2013 schedule is:

Feb. 26 – Gun Control in New York
April 9 – Regulating Not-for-Profits in New York
April 23 – The State Energy Highway: What’s Ahead for the State, Consumers and Industry
May 14 – Home Rule: The 50th Anniversary of Article 9 of the State Constitution

The seminars will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. in the Assembly Parlor on the third floor of the New York State Capitol. There is no charge to attend the programs, but seating is limited. The annual breakfast series, now in its 21st year, is named in honor of former Senate Majority Leader Warren M. Anderson ’40, an alumnus of Albany Law School and an active member of the GLC Advisory Board who served in the New York State Senate for 35 years.
