Professor Cai Jianmin, who teaches at the Shanghai Institute of Foreign Trade (SIFT) in China, is a visiting scholar at Albany Law School for the spring semester. While visiting, he will teach the Introduction to Chinese Law course.
The professor’s research and teaching areas are International Business Law, Arbitration, International Trade Law, Chinese Law for Foreign Students, and Law and Culture.
Albany Law has an ongoing relationship with SIFT for cooperative educational programs and collaborative research initiatives for students and faculties in both countries. Last spring, 33 Albany Law students and four faculty members toured China for 10 days, meeting with alumni in the country, visiting Chinese legal institutions, and attending seminars about Chinese and U.S. law.
In addition to the annual trip to China, Albany Law hosts study tours of SIFT students and faculty each year.
