Albany Law School will delay opening until 11am due to the weather.
Albany Law School and Benjamin N. Cardozo Law School’s Cardozo for Kids initiative will co-sponsor a roundtable on the statute of limitations for childhood sexual abuse, presented by Assemblywoman Margaret Markey (30th District-Queens). It will feature law professors, attorneys, reporters and elected officials, and take place at the Legislative Office Building in Albany on May 22, 2012, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Participants will discuss notable childhood sexual abuse cases and legislation in California, Delaware and Pennsylvania, among other locations.
The event will facilitate discussion on the progress of a national movement to extend statutes of limitation for child sex abuse crimes; successful legislative initiatives in other states and their positive outcomes; and legislative initiatives currently underway in other states.
