President and Dean Penelope (Penny) Andrews has organized and will host a three-day international conference in South Africa in December to honor David McQuoid-Mason, current president of the Commonwealth Legal Education Association representing more than 800 law schools in 54 countries. McQuoid-Mason is a Fellow of the University of KwaZulu-Natal and was formerly Dean of the Howard College Law School at the former University of Natal for 13 years.

Along with organizing the conference, Dean Andrews will participate as moderator and panelist, as will Albany Law School Professor Alexandra Harrington. Professor Harrington, a public international law specialist, will also participate in the conference as the chair of an international panel on lawyering, ethics and access to justice.
