One week after delivering expert testimony to the New York State Standing Committee on Ethics, Professor Patricia Salkin returned to the capitol to provide additional testimony in a joint hearing to review Governor Paterson's proposed ethics reform package. The hearing was held by the New York State Assembly Standing Committee on Governmental Operations, the Assembly Standing Committee on Election Law, and the Assembly Standing Committee on Ethics and Guidance.

Professor Salkin also delivered expert testimony last week to the New York State Standing Committee on Ethics, which held a public hearing in Albany to solicit input on four specific Senate proposals dealing with various aspects of ethics reform. Professor Salkin, who is also director of Albany Law School's Government Law Center and the Raymond and Ella Smith Distinguished Professor of Law, has taught courses in government ethics, New York State administrative law, and current legal issues in government since joining the faculty in 1990. She is also a nationally recognized expert on land use law and zoning and maintains a blog titled Law of the Land.
