Chief Judge Lippman to Deliver Keynote at 158th Commencement

Albany Law School recently announced that the Honorable Jonathan Lippman, Chief Judge of the New York State Court of Appeals, will deliver the keynote address at the school's 158 th commencement ceremony.

Chief Judge Lippman was appointed to his position by Governor Paterson in January 2009 and confirmed by the New York State Senate in February 2009, replacing retiring Chief Judge Judith Kaye. He previously served as Presiding Justice of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court, First Department, and was also the longest-tenured person to hold the position of Chief Administrative Judge of all New York State Courts.

More than 200 students are expected to receive their law degrees at the commencement ceremony, which will take place at 11 a.m. on May 15 in the Saratoga Performing Arts Center.
