Albany Law School will delay opening until 11am due to the weather.
On Tuesday, District Attorney P. David Soares and his opponent Roger Cusick—both Albany Law School alumni—exchanged heated words among an audience of 250 students and supporters in the School's Dean Alexander Moot Courtroom.
District Attorney Soares, a one-term incumbent Democrat, is a 1999 graduate of Albany Law School. Cusick, a Loudonville Republican running on the newly formed Integrity Party, graduated in 1975.
The debate was sponsored by the Albany Law Civil Liberties Union, Albany Law Black Law Students Association, New York Civil Liberties Union, NAACP, and the League of Women Voters.
Albany Law School does not endorse or oppose any candidate or political party. Both events are intended to be neutral events where political fundraising is prohibited.
