An Innocent Man in Guantanamo Bay: Baher Azmy, Esq. to Speak at Albany Law

Albany Law School's Muslim Law Students Association will host Baher Azmy, Esq., who represents Murat Kurnaz, a German resident of Turkish descent who was detained in Guantanamo as an enemy combatant and released without being charged with any crime. The October 6 event will feature a presentation and Q&A session from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. with a reception to follow.

Azmy's efforts and the plight of his client have been featured in the Washington Post, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, New Yorker and a number of local and international publications. A full-time professor at Seton Hall since 2000, Azmy specializes in constitutional law.
