Albany Law School will delay opening until 11am due to the weather.
Students from Albany, Schenectady, Troy and Hudson High Schools spent a day at Albany Law School on Monday, April 21, attending mock law classes, learning about the law school admissions process, and exploring their career possibilities in the field of law.
Albany County District Attorney David Soares '99 spent lunchtime with the 100-plus students, talking about the decisions he had to make to attend and graduate college and then law school. Attorney Kenneth Standard, Epstein Becker & Green, New York, N.Y., hosted the day.
The day aligns with Albany Law School's "pipeline" efforts to introduce the prospect of law school at an early age to populations underrepresented as lawyers.
The event was sponsored by the New York State Bar Association. Last year the Bar held the event in New York City.
