The Kate Stoneman Committee of Albany Law School is seeking nominations for the 2008 Kate Stoneman Award.
The Kate Stoneman Award is given annually to individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to actively seeking change and expanding opportunities for women, or have served as role models. The award is presented in honor of Kate Stoneman, the first woman admitted to practice law in New York state, and the first female graduate of Albany Law School in 1898.
Previous winners of the Kate Stoneman Award include a variety of public and private practitioners, judges and law professors.
The deadline for nominations is
January 11, 2008. The awards will be presented during the 13
th Annual Kate Stoneman Day celebration on March 6, 2008 at Albany Law School.
