Due to inclement Weather, classes at Albany Law School will be starting at noon.
The Albany Law School Board of Trustees elected new officers and appointed new board members at its May 2007 meeting.
Officers were elected to a one-year term:
Chairman: E. Stewart Jones Jr. '66 of Loudonville (at left). Jones is head partner of The E. Stewart Jones Law Firm, PLLC, in Troy. He received a B.A. from Williams College and a J.D. from Albany Law School.
Vice chair: Mary Ann McGinn '83 of Albany. She earned a B.A. from University of Vermont and a J.D. from Albany Law School.
Secretary: Robert C. Miller '68 of Clifton Park. Miller is CEO and general counsel of the Windsor Development Group, Inc. in Clifton Park. He earned a B.B.A. from Siena College, a J.D. from Albany Law School and a LL.M from New York University Law School.
Treasurer: Hon. Erik E. Joh'70 of Boynton Beach, Fla. Joh has a private practice in Boynton Beach. He received his B.A. from Dartmouth College and a J.D. from Albany Law School.
The following are new members of the Albany Law School Board of Trustees:
Johnna G. Torsone '75, of Stamford, Conn., was elected to serve a five-year term as a new term trustee. Torsone is the senior vice president and chief human resources officer at Pitney Bowes Inc. in Stamford. She received a B.A. from Vassar College and a J.D. from Albany Law School.
Larry P. Schiffer '79, of East Rockaway, N.Y., was elected to serve a four-year term as an alumni trustee. Schiffer is a partner at LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae LLP, in New York. He received a B.A. from Brooklyn College and a J.D. from Albany Law School.
Jacqueline Mecchella '07, of New York, was elected to a three-year term as a graduate trustee. Mecchella received a B.A. from Syracuse University and a J.D. from Albany Law School in May 2007.
