Albany Law School will hold a symposium on "Pharmaceuticals & the Internet." The event will focus on legal, technical, and policy issues pertaining to the pharmaceutical industry and the availability of drugs over the internet.

Panelists will address issues pertaining to the import of lower-cost pharmaceuticals from Canada, and the effect that this will have on the U.S. pharmaceutical industry and your wallet; concerns and novel issues regarding the illegal sale of pharmaceuticals over the internet; and the consequences of counterfeit drugs for both individuals and the drug industry.

The symposium, presented by The Albany Law Journal of Science & Technology, the Government Law Center and the Science and Technology Law Center, will be held on Thursday, March 2, from 8:45 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. in Room 200 on the second floor of the main law school building.
